What is a screen resolution? Screen resolution is how many pixels a monitor of a
device has on it. There are horizontal and vertical pixels on a screen. Number that is bigger pixels is for horizontal pixels, and other that is smaller is for vertical pixels. On this article, we are going to tell most used resolution counted by pixels. Remember one thing, higher number pixels means higher picture or video quality.
1 – HD (high definition) - is a resolution 1280 and 720 pixels. 1280 in horizontal and 720 in vertical of screen so always I takes lower number for every screen resolution, it means that if you see quality is 720 is HD.
2 – FHD (full high definition) Is resolution on with width 1920 px and height 1080 px. So Full high definition is 1080px.
3 – WUXGA – is resolution 1920 width and 1200 height (1920 x 1200).
4 – 2K is 2048 and unspecified
UHD (ultra high definition) is 3840 width and 2160 height (3840 x 2160) px
5 -4K (cinema is 4096 and unspecified
6 – 8K is 7680 width and 4320 height (7680 x 4320) px.
These are main types of resolutions until now, these types came time by time after each other, first was 240 px , and then was 360 px, then was 480 px or HQ (high quality) and came HD (720 px ), then came Full HD and 2K, UHD, 4K, 8K etc.
